okay, so there are a few songs i have been dying to learn on the piano. one of them is Hard Times Happen by Josh Kelley. I don’t think sheet music for it even exists. And i’ve looked for guitar tab for it too, but no luck. If anyone can find notes or tab for this song, please send it to me. But, my last resort would be to try to play it by ear, but it seems so hard to do that. Thanks.

I play piano and sing, (go to a high school of the arts) and the other day my piano teacher told us in great detail how extraordinarily hard it is to play by ear. I don’t know about anybody else, but I find this task quite easy. I can listen to a song on the radio and after about twenty minutes playing on the piano, trying to pick out the right notes, be able to play the first part or so of it in both hands. Is this unusual?
Edit: I can also read music, for those who are saying it is best to be able to do both.

O.k I want to thank all of you guys and gals for the ways of how to play by ear and lol I do know what it means that putting your ears on the keys was joke.Anyway unfortunately I already everything of what you people said like listen to a simple music hear out the melody,do trial and run,until it sounds good then just put in the chords.I thought there would be more information on how to play the piano by ear but that’s probably just the main thing.Anyway thanks again people for your help.
