Can someone become a concert pianist (or concert-level pianist) who can’t play the piano by ear?

Marie asked:
I really love the piano, and I love classical music, but I can’t play by ear. I am wondering if it is possible for someone who cannot play by ear to attain to the level of concert pianist. I would really love to be able to play the classics, but I am wondering if this is possible. Thanks.
